Modern Medics Clinic To Open Winter 2020

Modern Medics Clinic Tanzania is gearing up for a Winter 2020 opening. Dr. Mastidia K. Rutaihawa, clinic director and co-founder, has initiated clinic educational activities, working with teachers and students about how to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The building and compound are nearly complete – external paint touch up is the only large building project still underway. The next steps are in progress: purchasing and installing equipment and beginning the process of government permitting.

"We are very excited getting ready to welcome our first patients," says Dr. Mastidia K. Rutaihawa. Dr Mastidia, as her students and patients address her, and her husband, Charlie Sloan, Nianjema Schools Director, planned, designed and oversee the building. TEF and donors, including generous grants from the W. O'Neil Foundation, the Carney Family Foundation, and Ginger and Peter Sparber were key to getting the project underway.
