Boarding Gives Students A Place to Study and Grow

From the beginning, the goal of Nianjema Schools has been to identify and recruit children with potential. Staying in the dormitories as boarders is a key part of meeting that goal.

Living in dorms makes a real difference for students planning to study beyond secondary school. It offers a quiet and predictable place to study, receive help, and join in peer study groups. They are ensured of electricity, running water and regular meals.

Girls in particular benefit from boarding. Living in the dormitory compound provides an environment of higher achievement expectations, relief from time intensive home duties and a safe environment.

Boarding is possible for many students only if they are sponsored. For $700 a year, a student has access to a brighter future. To help go to Support a TEF Scholar.
